Periodontal Implantology is a process of reconstructing the patient’s lost gum tissue. The Implantology may be performed for aesthetic or various other reasons, providing an essential solution for a variety of periodontal conditions:
- Receding gums that by definition includes loss of bone around the teeth, resulting from a gum disease or anatomical lesions. The receding harms the aesthetic appearance, exposes the tooth roots to decay processes and may even cause tooth sensitivity.
- A genetic anatomical defect expressed by a gum tissue which is too thin and which recedes rapidly (even without suffering from a gum disease) at a relatively young age.
- An extensive recovery plan which reconstructs all the infrastructures supporting the natural teeth and the dental implants to grant stability and quality of life over time.
